I-Tech Renews Membership in the Ballastwater & Environmental Manufacturers Association (BEMA)

Following a beneficial inaugural year as an associate member of the Ballastwater & Environmental Manufacturers Association (BEMA), I-Tech has renewed our membership for a further year to continue our role in supporting the reduction of negative impacts associated with barnacle biofouling on marine biodiversity and decarbonisation efforts.

As the industry trade association representing ballast water and biofouling prevention technologies and equipment, BEMA represents companies focused on preventing invasive species transfer between ecosystems through biofouling growth prevention/removal and ballast water treatment.

Being an associate member of BEMA enables us to stay informed about key regulatory developments in the maritime industry related to biofouling and provide our expertise around barnacle fouling and antifouling coatings in technical knowledge-sharing forums.

We look forward to continued collaboration with BEMA and the wider maritime community.
